For most, it’s exciting enough to rip around on two wheels and get a little rush in ya. That’s even more so when navigating the southern California freeways, full of idiotic, cell phone using, coffee drinking, oblivious auto-pilot-driving people. As if dodging them day in and day out is not enough. Well, it isn’t for our dude Chris Bridgewater. He wants to go fast, and by fast, we mean 200mph + fast. Chris races a Pro Charger equipped Big Twin Harley Davidson during Bonneville Speed Week. He’s an independent racer, without massive sponsors, just the will to win and a strong group of friends behind him that are all willing to do whatever it is to help get him to the top. He does odd jobs on the weekends, helping neighbors out with his loader, or picking up some overtime to buy the parts he needs, then busting his knuckles setting up the bike. He’s the peoples champ, the guy that is on the bike because that’s where he loves to be, and because that’s where he needs to be.
We’re going to follow Bridge this year, step by step, as he claims what’s his in Bonneville this August.
This first part is an overview of his equipment and a quick chat with legend Wink Eller who’s recently offered to help Bridge tune along the way. Stick around for Part 2 when we get this bike on the Dyno.
